First Place in a Horse Race..
And in the right colours thanks to our courier! We had collected new colours, or silks as they are called and had to rush them from Newmarket to Ludlow for a race. The courier arrived with minutes to spare. The rider, well known jockey Tony MacCoy went on the win the race! Two jobs well done we think.
Cambridge to Nantes in France.....in hours
Well done to our courier who, collecting at 3.30 in the afternoon made it to Nates in France, by the deadline of 5am next morning! Quite a run, with no room whatever for error.
Beware the Competition
Competition is good, it helps to keep sharp. We all want a good deal, but take care, some courier firms are not as competitive as they seem. Many will quote an apparently very low mileage rate, and yet charge both ways effectively doubling it. Others might forget to mention extra's such congestion charges, admin or fuel surcharges. Some may simply sacrifice standards in exchange for a low price.
We will always be clear with prices, and give the best possible service at all times. Its been working for 30 plus years, and our customers seem to like it that way.
Charitable Contributions
We are proud to support several charities. We have one we contribute to throughout the year, currently the NSPCC, and various others we support from time to time. These have included both national ones, such as Marie Curie Cancer Care and local ones, such as the East Anglia Children's Hospice, Meldreth Manor Special Needs School and a local youth football team.
Exhibition Service
We have recently expanded our exhibition service to meet demand. This service involves us transporting customers display and promotional items to exhibitions, and collecting after the exhibition is over. Our couriers work closely with the client, finding the correct stand, communicating by mobile etc. Ensuring the correct material is in the right place at the right time.
Are AC Couriers eco friendly?
As a delivery company we are forced to use fuel on a daily basis, and so feel we must do as much as we can elsewhere. All that can be recycled is recycled, from paper to cans. We also continue to try alternative fuels. We have used LPG, Bio fuel and were among the first couriers to use Electric Vans. We have even been buying eco pens! These are made by PILOT and called the B2P pens. They are actually made from recycled plastic drinks bottles!
